i’ve been having intense pizza cravings a few times a week. AWESOMELY ENOUGH, Dude I Date works AT A PIZZA PLACE. unfortunately, they are insanely vegan-unfriendly. but he is! i finally convinced him to help me make some dough and guide me in proper topping practice.
first of all, this is the perfect circle whole wheat crust he kneaded, pounded, stretched, blah blah pizza lingo blah all BY HAND. insane.

the real magic comes with the toppings.

left (his half): red sauce, broccoli, seitan, and green peppers

tacos modern life! yellow corn tortillas with boca ground crumbles, daiya cheddar, valentino hot sauce, lettuce, and avocado. also a “true lies” date. best night??!?

can we just talk about my food processor for a second? it’s really great. a little baby cuisinart handy prep, which holds about three cups. i got it at le gourmet chef in the mall of america on super sale for $30. this little baby is awesome when 90% of the time you’re cooking for yourself. so far it has made tons of batches of really awesome raw kale pesto, copious amounts of cashew cheese, and today it mastered hummus (a nice, thick hummus for bagels!).
i’m really proud.
